Meet the Therapy Works Team

Meg Navish, PT, Owner
Meg Navish, PTMeg has practiced physical therapy for over 20 years, graduating from the University of Vermont in 1989. She has advanced training and certification in focused soft tissue techniques and specializes in treatment and care of the spine. Meg's mother and sister are also physical therapists with a practice in New Hampshire, exposing her to the profession since childhood. Meg's natural intrigue and curiosity toward improving individual's physical and overall health is the focus she brings to her physical therapy practice. Opened in 1997, "Therapy Works Physical Therapy" practice in Bend delivers highly effective, personalized physical therapy in a setting that is conducive to healing and well being.

Meg was drawn here by the beauty of Central Oregon and the active life in the outdoors. She continues to enjoy the Bend lifestyle with her husband, Dale and their two children. Meg and Dale are active participants in the Bend community and sponsor many of the special events offered to residents and visitors to Bend.

Craig Boswell PT, CSCS
Craig Boswell PT, CSCSCraig graduated with a BSC (Honors) degree in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1997. He has practiced Physical Therapy in Scotland, New York, and Oregon. Craig initially spent two years in inpatient physical therapy at hospitals in Scotland and New York, but has spent the last 18 years in outpatient orthopedic based physical therapy. Craig's passion is improving people's enjoyment of life by evaluating what is at the root of their dysfunction and using movement based patient education and manual therapy techniques to allow them to return to a pain free life, regardless of their goals.

Craig also specializes in Aquatic Therapy, Cycle Fit, and Post-Op Orthopedic patients. He holds a certificate in Strength and Conditioning (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Craig initially moved to Bend in 1991 before leaving for PT School. He returned in 2001 as planned since Bend has always offered everything he is passionate about: beautiful landscape, great people, and a wonderful healthcare environment.

Craig lives in Bend with his wife, daughter, and son. He and his family enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, paddle boarding, cross country skiing, kayaking, and snowboarding, and many other Central Oregon activities.

Derek GreenDerek Green, PT, DPT, OCS
Derek graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2010. In 2013 he became a board certified orthopedic specialist (OCS.) He has taken extensive continuing education courses focused on addressing dysfunctional movement patterns, orthopedic manual therapy, and the McKenzie/MDT approach. In addition to formal education, Derek has a wide variety of personal experiences with regard to movement including hard manual labor, yoga, Tai Chi/Qi Gong, Cross Fit, Pilates, trail running, biking and skiing as well as multiple other outdoor pursuits. He finds these experiences invaluable in educating and helping people to reach their goals.

Derek lives in Bend with his wife Sara and their dog. He feels incredibly fortunate to live in a town where he can bike to work and also so easily access the rivers and mountains of Central Oregon.

Erin HendersonErin Henderson, PT, DPT
Erin has practiced physical therapy since 2009, after graduate with a doctorate of physical therapy degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Before moving to Bend, she lived and worked on the Oregon coast in a multi-setting outpatient clinic, home health and hospice, and hospital settings. She also developed her skills in women's health/pelvic physical therapy to address pelvic pain & dysfunction, pregnancy & postpartum related conditions, and incontinence. Erin is in awe of the human body and aims to create patient-centered programs to reflect the needs and goals of each unique individual.

Erin enjoys living in Bend with her husband, two children, and dog. She enjoys being outdoors and in nature as much as possible, loves animals, and finds great joy in music.

KristinKristen Sestric PT, DPT
Kristen graduated summa cum laude with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Pacific in 2006, and has extensive training in evaluating and treating conditions that limit the body's ability to move and function in daily life. She utilizes a comprehensive approach to patient care, integrating functional activities and manual therapy techniques into each one-on-one treatment session. Her approach to patient care has allowed her to help patients who have tried other treatment avenues without success.

Kristen and her family moved to Bend in 2014, drawn to this community for its incredible outdoor opportunities. She enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking and paddle boarding, and has lived in Tahoe, Maui and Sun Valley, where she and her family have taken full advantage of the outdoors. She understands how frustrating it can be to sit on the sidelines while your friends and family are out enjoying all that this beautiful region has to offer. She loves her job because she knows how important Physical therapy can be in helping people return to a pain-free, active lifestyle..

Livia VanLoo, PT, MSPT
Livia VanlooLivia has practiced physical therapy since 2001, when she graduated from Clarke University in Dubuque, IA.  She enjoys the variety of settings and populations a physical therapist can assist with.  She has worked in inpatient, rehabilitation and outpatient settings and she loves to see the continuum of care working for an individual.   She has advanced training in aquatic therapy, vestibular dysfunction and a gentle manual technique called strain counter strain.  She joined the team at Therapy Works in May 2013.  She brings a passion for working with a person to identify his/her goals and address the prior medical history and life situation to tailor a program that will best meet that person’s needs.

Outside of work, Livia and her husband Dave enjoy many outdoor recreational activities including hiking, mountain biking, skiing and running.  They now appreciate  these activities at a different pace with the addition of their son in 2012.

Heidi Washenberger, PT
Heidi Washenberger, PTHeidi has been a physical therapist for nearly 20 years, graduating from the University of California, San Francisco/San Francisco State in 1994 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. She has completed numerous continuing education courses in manual therapy and functional rehabilitation. She enjoys working with a variety of patients including spinal dysfunctions, sports related injuries, and the foot/ankle. Heidi has also completed her certification in strength and conditioning (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Heidi moved to Bend, Oregon with her husband, John and two children from Bainbridge Island, WA. She enjoys the many outdoor activities Bend has to offer including running, mountain biking, skiing and hiking.

Kellie Wilson PT, MSPT
Kellie Wilson PT, MSPTKellie has been practicing physical therapy for over 20 years since graduating from Mount Saint Mary's College in 1993 with a Master in Physical Therapy. Before joining Therapy Works, she had been working in the Pacific Northwest (Portland/Vancouver area) at private practice clinics with orthopedic and sports therapy specialties.

She has strong manual therapy background, beginning with her schooling being Maitland based, as well as her extensive continuing education courses in McKenzie, Mulligan, muscle energy, and strain/counter-strain techniques. Kellie has had a passion for sports rehab since playing collegiate soccer at Cal Poly Pomona. She has worked with many athletes over the years in the clinic; helping them return to sports as well as community outreach programs (ACL prevention clinics).

She recently relocated to Bend after enjoying vacationing here for snow sports and mountain biking trips for many years.

Since moving to town she has been volunteering with Oregon Adaptive Sports and is excited to help others experience life changing outdoor recreation
